I like the image you show of Flowtown.com. It is similar in structure to what I’m trying to accomplish with my blog structure (header/menu/featurebar then three columns of (in my case) posts divided up by categories (one each per column). I clicked thru to the site and its changed. At least I didn’t see the same layout. Is it archived somewhere that I could study it? Trying to learn Thesis and how to put together a cool site structure.

Thanks for this fab collection of excellently designed and coded sites! Just started looking into Thesis for our clients, and because of all the non-customized bland site, was getting worried that it was not very customizable. Wishing you a Happy New Year and much success in 2010!

I’ve used Thesis for several projects and have been delighted with how easy it is to customize. In general, the amount of hard-code changes that must be made is much less with Thesis than with other themes I’ve worked with; often many of the things I need to customize are simple configuration changes in the admin interface.

Hi, I can’t take credit for the graphic design of Flowtown but I did do all the WP & Thesis coding. It was quite the challenge (and with a tight deadline!) but I managed to bend Thesis to look almost exactly like the Illustrator design I was given. Thanks for featuring the site!

currently I only use Thesis for my blog (and not for my portfolio) but this will be a good inspiration when I can take some time to make it all into something based on WP and Thesis.

Jermaine Maree : Wouldn't have put you in if I didn't think what you guys were doing was awesome! jay: I'm sure you took a look at Flowtown.com which we posted above, which is a great example of an SME using Thesis for primarily non-blog content. Admittedly there's not a huge amount of sub-page navigation, but it certainly gives you an idea. Check out our review on Thesis here, which talks a lot about using Thesis in the SME space for non-blog sites.

Great content you guys! there is so much potential with the thesis theme. Everyone has worked hard on it. I always thought the websites that are on the main thesis showcase left a little something to be desired, so this helps.

one thing i’m struggling with with thesis and other wp themes is that many are full of “eye candy” but for bloggers vs. real websites that actually have pages and sub navigation. this seems kinda like common sense but other themes like woothemes suffer from same problem.

if you have other good examples of real websites for small or medium businesses that use thesis with typical website content and not just blog postings, it would be enormously helpful.

and thanks again for helping to raise awareness and knowledge about thesis and how it can be used.
